Chapter 27: Evil Has Its Retribution (Part 1)

Chu Jin Miao knelt on the ground with a thud as she cried out, “ZuMu, I really don’t know what is going on. You have to spare me this time!”

If one does not know what was going on then why would there be a need to ask Old Furen for mercy? Chu Jin Xian did not lose the sarcasm in her heart. Yesterday, she was still crying like raindrops on a pear blossom, repeatedly saying that Chu Jin Yao tore her collection of poems and even arbitrarily insisted that it was an individual manuscript and there were no copies. However, there appeared to be a perfectly fine copy today. Among those present, not mentioning Old Chu Furen and Chu Jin Xian, both of whom were used to weathering big storms, even a young maid would be able to figure out that it was most likely that Chu Jin Miao tore the collection of poems herself and did not want to admit to it. She then used the copy as a smokescreen and replaced the original with a fake before framing Fifth Young Lady.

Chapter 26: The Truth Is Revealed (Part 2)

Chu Jin Yao arrived shortly after. She greeted Old Furen, Chu Zhu, and the rest before standing quietly at the side. She had a very calm demeanour and if her hands were not wrapped in gauze, everybody would have thought that nothing had happened yesterday.

When Old Chu Furen saw her daughter, she became increasingly emotional and kept on telling them to be careful on the road. There were more and more people in Rong Ning Tang as Chu Zhu was leaving today, so everyone came over to send her off. Chu Zhu and Old Chu Furen were reluctantly saying their goodbyes when they saw a young servant running in and nodding to Chu Zhu, “Second Furen, ShiZi said that the preparations are almost completed and it is time to leave.”

Chapter 26: The Truth Is Revealed (Part 1)

Upon seeing Qin Yi, Chu Jin Yao felt inexplicably guilty. Today, he had warned her despite the dangers, but she insisted on doing it her way. She did not feel that she was wrong but felt that she had let down Qin Yi’s intentions.

Qin Yi’s eyes seemed to be covered with thousand miles of ice. He sat across and said to Chu Jin Yao, “Give me your hand.”

Chapter 25: Jin Miao Went Crazy (Part 3)

Qin Yi did not care about being revealed and whispered to Chu Jin Yao before Gu Momo came over, “A wise man knows better than to fight when the odds are against one. Admit to it first and seek justice later.”

He still wanted to continue but Gu Momo was already approaching so he could only stop. Qin Yi suddenly felt powerless. If his body were here, as long as he did not nod his head, who would dare to even touch Chu Jin Yao? Madam Zhao and the rest all felt that Chu Jin Miao was beaten unfairly but Qin Yi felt that on what basis did they want to hit Chu Jin Yao? What wrong did Chu Jin Yao commit? Even if she did something wrong, they should not be the ones hitting her.

Chapter 25: Jin Miao Went Crazy (Part 2)

Chu Jin Yao paused. Although Third Young Lady added a lot of emotions, there were no issues in matters before and after the event thus she could only reply, “It is as such.”

Seventh Young Lady immediately turned around to ask Madam Yan, “Mother, isn’t it obvious that she tore up another’s collection of poems? Otherwise, would Chu Jin Miao tear it up herself?”

Chapter 25: Jin Miao Went Crazy (Part 1)

Old Chu Furen was so angry that her face was ashen. She was one that would not speak or smile and thus was not favoured by her husband when younger. As such, she became even more serious and disciplined and managed her children more. Now that she had waited till the skies were cleared and the moon had appeared, she had become the old dowager who said as she means and thus was very proud of her own teachings. However, she had never expected her granddaughters, who she thought were very disciplined and proud of, would actually throw things in public.

Seeing that Old Chu Furen had arrived, the young ladies in the rear room restrained themselves. One did not know when Sixth Young Lady had returned as she supported Old Furen to the rear room and shook her head silently after sweeping her eyes across the room.

Chapter 24: Secret Scheme (Part 2)

Chu Jin Miao entered the rear room with the accompaniment of Third Young Lady. Upon seeing Lin Xi Yuan and Chu Jin Yao, she was slightly startled, “ShiZi, why have you returned?”

Lin Xi Yuan became inexplicably uncomfortable upon hearing those words, “Why? Should I not come back?”

Chapter 24: Secret Scheme (Part 1)

Chu Jin Miao said that she wanted to write in the rear room and the rest of the young ladies had their interests peaked. In the end, the small rear room was filled with people and everyone was holding brushes as they knelt in front of the desk to write.

Lin Xi Yuan said to Chu Jin Yao, “Younger Biao Sister, there is no more space on the table here, do move a little there.”
