The Su family was a large clan that was a level above the other clans as only high ranking officials were able to hold the position of managing the matters of the military horse and their rations.

Su family’s status of managing the military horses was already in place since the founding of Ming Qi and was managed very well. Ping Nan Bo, Su Yu, was no exception. From his perspective, the Su family was splendid and would certainly continue on for a long time. Perhaps loyal officials would have thought that as long as one was to faithfully work, the Imperial family would not treat them unfairly.

Chapter 15: Su Ming Feng

No matter what the East courtyard did, Shen Miao still deliberately alienated the people from both the Second and Third Household. She no longer attached herself to Shen Yue and Shen Qing either. At first, everyone in Shen residence thought that she was only throwing a childish tantrum about the matter of falling into the water, but when Shen Miao started to conduct matters her own way, everyone felt that something was not right.

Gui Momo persuaded Shen Miao as usual not to be angry with the East courtyard and occasionally mentioned how Prince Ding was a peerless man in Ming Qi. But Shen Miao seemed to be unshakeable as every time Gui Momo mentioned that person, she would berate her furiously, giving Gui Momo a headache. However, the West courtyard was still filled with crafty servants from the Second and Third Household and Gu Yu and the rest thought that since Shen Miao’s temper had changed, she would rearrange the matters in the inner courtyard. Who knew that Shen Miao would actually ignore it.

After Gui Momo left, Shen Qing walked out from behind the dividing screen.

She climbed up to Ren Wan Yun’s side and cling onto her mother as she spoke with a tone that was unable to hide the anger, “Mother, Shen Miao is not willing to give up His Highness Prince Ding. What should I do?”

Chapter 13: Secretly Ganging Up

A cool breeze started up during the night as autumn neared, turning the weather cooler by the day. The Ding capital was in the North, making the cold more surprising.

Under the candlelight, the young female held a book, reading it slowly as she reclined against the couch. She did not realise that the tea beside her had turned cold as she continued reading her book in a trance.

When Shen Miao got out of the academy and returned to the Shen residence, the skies were becoming dark.

Shen Yue and Shen Qing did not return together with her and Shen Miao could not be bothered to care about them. Old Shen Furen had already gone to rest so she went back to the West courtyard.

Chapter 10: Little Xie Marquis

Guang Wen Tang’s academy examinations were held every year during the tenth month.

The academy examinations were a test for every student in the academy, especially for the outstanding students who would be showcasing their talents. Most importantly, that day there would be many high ranking officials watching and princes looking from the side. If there were any good students, perhaps career opportunities would be available.

Chapter 9: Pei Xiu Cai

A young male in his early twenties walked in from the outside. He wore light robes and his features were straight.
