At the end of Yi Feng Pavilion’s long corridor, there was someone sitting at the moment. When that person saw HuangFu Hao, he immediately stood up. It was the Crown Prince.

Several guards flew over to HuangFu Hao at the same time, making HuangFu Hao shout in despaire, “Fu Xiu Yan, you harm this Prince. The Qin country would not take things lying down.

Fu Xiu Yan was the Crown Prince’s name.

  19. I think Wang Bi needs avery high dosage of regret medicine though it is too late now. Shen Dong Ling’s plot was quite clever but Shen Miao is one class to high to fall for such a thing. And now she will feel the consequences. If you gamble too high prepare for extreme losses. I somehow imagine Shen Miao arriving at the scene and acting total inonocent “what happened here? So much blood!” *fetches the containers of stored popcorn* Who wants some?

  31. I’m still heartbroken that even SDL turned out to be so evil. I really liked the idea of a sensible girl barely escaping that den of snakes and achieving happiness on her own, thus breaking the “inferior Shen household” curse. Kinda like a mini Cinderella story.

    Alas, it was not to be. So sad. Now the hammer is coming down, and there’s no way to escape. Well, at least she was happy for, like, a few days in her life, at least. Better luck next time, and stop gnawing at the ankles of giants, you little mutt.

    Also, goodbye Crown Prince. You were kinda the faceless disposable pawn in all of this. How did you survive for so long, I wonder. … Well, Prince Dingdongthewitchisdead probably propped him up as a convenient and easy to dispose of shield. Apropos, I can’t wait for prince Ding to join the baddies so that the purple cloud deity and his Tigress will be able to live happily ever after. …still, can anyone in that universe in a position of power ever be truly happy, I wonder…

    • Yeah. If only Shen Dong Ling realises that she really was fortunate to be able to achieve so much and so far and be grateful for what she already had, she wouldn’t overreach herself into doom. Alas…

      I do think it’s a wasted potential to make her easily go the same way of the 2nd and 3rd Shen ouseholds. It really makes it seem as if you couldn’t escape the curse of your blood and early upbringing in the story.

  41. My fav thing about this is that it doesnt matter if the Wang family gets punished or not: SDL has no chance what so ever to remain favoured by her husband anymore. He’ll blame her for the failure even if it ultimately was his own decision. It’s actually cruel how the men take credit for the successes but never responsibility for the failure. While SDL got ahead of herself she’s lives in a world where females most times have to climb on each other to live well. I pity her for that reason mostly. She really shouldn’t have thought to scheme agains her sister though. If she instead had relied on her perhaps the empress would take her under her wing instead. But of course SDL has no way of knowing exactly how deep SM schemes and influence goes, especially with the support pretty boy in purple.
