  17. LXY must regrets. She let’s her only daughter stay far away alone without her own family support for many years while she can carry her son with her. As a mother, even LXY seem really care and love SM every time she comes back home, I still feel she’s failed as a mother. Never doubt why SM in the first life feel hurt and not trust the love from her own mother.

    • I think she did the best she could. She was isolated by other Furens/society because of her rough Northern ways. She wanted better for her daughter. A better upbringing and education meant a good marriage and better life.

      Her fault was perhaps deliberate ignorance by not getting enough feedback/spies in how her daughter was being educated and raised to the point I think she believed her daughter was really an idiot.

  19. I really dont want Shen Miao to end up with XJX. I think the last thing she needs is a scheming snake as a companion. Can you people really say that you’d rather want people like XJX to be your partner instead of someone like SQ? I’m not saying she should be with SQ though…ew. The fact that XJX is using other households, especially SM’s, as his chess pieces just to move his plans doesnt make him any different than FXY.

    • Yes! But they were more sneaky and two-faced about it and were worse. Shen Maio likes to save the best for last so naturally, that’s Fu Xiu Yi. But of the 2nd and 3rd household, since the 3rd was worse, she’s saving them for after the 2nd household.
