      • 😂😂😂 true lol. But it doesn’t hurt to see those two schemers fail. Srsly…I feel sorry for XJX’s mother. And even though there’s only one concubine…and stuff I still don’t like her or her 2 obnoxious son. I can definitely see that concubine as someone who schemed against XJX’s mom… since the apple don’t fall far from the tree😋

  13. Regardless of how it turns out, I still think it wouldn’t be too embarassing for XJX. It’s still two against one. Kind of like when SM does the archery. Winning makes you look awesome, but losing still have sufficient reasons

    Though, I hope this guy shines and SM starts to take notice of him. I’m dying for some cute MC/ML interraction

    im on a rereading binge and got confused about the ones being challenged choosing the weapon; went back to ch 43 and found this: “Generally speaking, the topic on ‘challenging’ was that the person who challenged would set the rules and also dictate on how the challenge would be carried out, and the person who was challenged could only accept it”
    so i guess the author changed their mind.

    • I think I’ll have to take back some of what I said about this concubine Fang. That both her and her sons were able to survive the slaughter of the Xie family and to rise up after.. there had to have been some scheming. I don’t know if she did anything bad while the princess was alive, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire. She just can’t be as innocent as the story claims her to be, even in the beginning. Though I still don’t think her marrying in and wanting to have a relationship with her husband was wrong, and the princess was still to rigid in her beliefs that she should have been the only wife in such an era. But now it doesn’t seem so cut and dry. Siiigh, oh well. What will be uncovered will be discovered later i guess.
