If Princess Ming An knew of this, she would blame him for not handling the matter well, and would not speak well of the brothers in front of Fu Xiu Yi, and one fear that one would suffer more for it. Tie Yi trembled constantly. Sometimes one could not admit that Ji Yu Shu was indeed a talented individual as no matter what the place was, he could portray all types of emotions that are as ridiculous as an idiot. This kind of disguising as Xie Jing Xing to tease the tiger, one guessed that only Ji Yu Shu, this kind of person who was so bored with leisure, would only do it.

The white tiger evaded the ‘warm’ embrace of Ji Yu Shu and when he suddenly saw Xie Jing Xing and Tie Yi, it turned in the middle of her movement and headed over to Xie Jing Xing in a rush, and bit the corner of Xie Jing Xing’s robes before shaking her head.

“Not only that.” Xie Jing Xing said indifferently, “Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao also participated.”

“Are they insane?” Gao Yang was unable to hide his surprise, “Even if Princess Ming An promised them benefits, how could Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao take such risks with their lives?”

    • Well for starters he has spies everywhere. Remember waaay back when Shen Miao hired them to feed false info to the emperor? 🙂

      Shen Xin has already searched many places so he only has to consider the places Shen Xin can not go.

    • He has spies everywhere and the stupid brothers showed weird movements once they started to search for rough people to bring into the fu and rape Shen Miao. If they did nothing nothing would point to them as culprits.

      The spy network was already on high alert so once abnormal movements happen at any fu, they go and find out why that place is acting strange.

    • Well, his “fake pawn shop” is actually the best detective agent ever in the country, so it’s not so difficult for him to find it out.
      There are not may people who have the motive to do such underhanded scheme against Shen family, only Ming An and the other Shen Family. But the second and 3rd Shen don’t have that much of resources now, they wouldn’t risk that much for it and considering that Ming An is an honorable guest in Mingqi, there must be other people helping her.
      And in MQ there is not so many people having such resources, gut and also motive to risk everything to help MA.

    • Like what KOBOLD said, the primary suspect behind the scenes is Ming An. Even Shen Xin figured this much. Also, it probably isn’t that hard to uncover the fact that the Xie brothers were assigned by Fu Xiu Yi to ‘keep Ming An company.’ XJX has been monitoring FXY’s movements after all. The difficult part was probably figuring out where the Xie brothers hid Shem Miao. But XJX was their ex-‘brother’ so he probably figured out how their thought process worked.

      JYS probably didn’t need to work his people that hard in gathering info about SM since XJX grabbed control of the matter. XJX is also part owner of the establishment and is the Prince of Great Liang after all 🙂 so JYS’s people are also technically XJX’s people.

      XJX also probably has more means than JYS (and ‘his people’) when it comes to info. gathering concerning missing people because of his spies and hidden guards who are highly skilled in martial arts. There are different kinds if spies after all.

      Also, it is good to remember that the pawnshop isn’t that omniscient. It failed to obtain info on the Chen sisters who were kidnapped before by Prince Yu. If XJX as Prince Rui were the one looking for them, he could have probably found them if he fully mobilized his ‘people’. But maybe, XJX wasn’t willing to exert that much effort for people he didn’t care for, especially at the risk of his identity being found out at that time–so they weren’t able to track the whereabouts of the sisters. Of course, Shen Miao’s case was different. XJX’s men would have probably been punished if they didn’t find her (scary master after all) and XJX himself also searched for her personally so not surprising for them to track her. No crime is without a trace (I believe).

    • Luo family is marriageable for Shen Miao, so cannot be really counted as in-laws, more like a rival. IMO, XJX probably think at the possible ‘care’ SM might gave to Luo Ling for he practically lost all of his ability (not being able to wield a sword when you’re a son from military family?) for both SQ and SM’s sake. The Shen family might feel indebted to him

      • That makes sense, but I think @thesilentdarkangel has a point. It could have been SQ who couldn’t wield a sword anymore, he’s saved by luck.
        He might be more skillful in martial art but those people might have used underhanded method to hurt him.
        It was always said that Xie and Shen young master are comparable,the most outstanding youth in MQ so it’s kinda pity if Shen young master is hurt to that point. As a man of one kind, XJX could feel the same anger I think, especially since he’s so disgusted with this Xie brothers anyway.

      • HAHAHA XJX is indeed petty. But I think that he wouldn’t really want for anything bad to happen to Luo Ling despite his pettiness because he knows how important family is to Shen Miao 🙂

        His eyes probably turned cold because as thesilentdarkangel mentioned, Shen Qiu was the target and also because he didn’t want SM to blame herself. He probably hasn’t considered Luo Ling as his rival at this point yet. XJX has so much pride after all. He doesn’t think that Luo Ling can match him at all.

    • I think she would decide depending on the circumstances.
      SM is now smart, if she couldn’t find the best solution for her problem in protecting the Shens household, she could just choose the less damaging one for her family.
      Because of her tragic past life, SM has no interest nor faith in a happy love life in marriage so for her is now no longer important with whom she’s married nor whether she could get married at all.
      Marrying XJX might be dangerous but it could be the best option for her too, depending the situation at that moment. And he’s atleast the only one who knows her the best now and their relationship wouldn’t be fake, with or without the existence of love.
      And supposed that XJX really does care about her, if there is any man at all that have the ability to help her protecting her family theb it’s only XJX

Haha I’m starting to get a feel of XJX, that news of Luo Ling’s incident upsets him because he can see the future (my sister said: like what, a Seer, that’s Harry Potter! lol), he reads more steps than a normal person. Luo Ling is a good guy, and Jiao Jiao doesn’t like him that way (and she is too cold to even think of getting married because of feeling guilty), no need to feel to jealous, XJX /pats

You just invoked the wrath of our empress’s husband (well selfproclaimed) But from the sound of the trap that was used against Luo Ling it seems that the actions were taken from the Min Qui (maybe Prince Fu Xiu Yu?). Would make sense, destroy the son to weaken the whole family. Let’s wait for the sweet and cold revenge.
