Chapter 127: Meeting With An Old Acquaintance (Part 2)
“Thinking of what?” Xie Jing Xing asked.

Shen Miao suddenly remembered that in her previous life, Fu Xiu Yi spared no effort to suppress Xie Jing Xing, and even arranged for his people to be in the Xie family’s army, resulting in Xie Jing Xing death in the hands of his own soldiers, and both Xie father and son gave their lives to the battlefield. Other than Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao, there were no more descendants in the Xie family. The more I think the more my headache lol😂 and can not wait to wait for the next chapter and thank Zaza and Tnyhy to work hard for this story, I love you both !! ❤

I have the same reaction as you do! How the hell is he the Great Liang emperor’s younger brother _and_ ended up being raised as the only di son of the Xie family?
The reveal that he’s not Xie Ding’s son just came out of the blue. There hadn’t been enough clues in the entire story before this (other than how unfilial he is to his father, but then, that’s also a natural reaction of a son who knew his father inadvertently caused his mother’s death!)
How exactly he became related to both the Great Liang imperial family and Ming Qi’s Xie family is something that only the author can illuminate.

Hello, thanks so much translator and editor, I love love love this story! In terms of female leads Shen Miao is in my top 5.
I never thought she’d actually tell him she was imagining alternate career paths for him- she’s as straightforward as ever.
XJX’s reaction when she offered money- there’s definitely trauma from being treated like a male companion, he’s sulking. Went away 2 years, returned with even more jaw dropping beautifulness and qualifications and still being treated like a male companion.
Don’t worry, just keep flirting and she’ll fall eventually (and maybe upgrade your from favoured male concubine).
Really looking forward to the second part of this story.

Heh! Someone’s decided to make a move at last…I got a new theory. Maybe author is giving so much “heaven defying”, “moon disgracing” “spring, winter, autumn, summer” like description for his appearance….so that Shen Miao can tease him by comparing him to a theatre troup’s lead actor? And a male consort? What else? Maybe she will poke him even more after this?

Looks like XJX has found the one person he wants at his side (makes somewhat sense since she is the first girl who does not fall for his looks and counters his frivilous talk with her sharp tongue)

I laugh really hard at that part. XJX expect something awesome to make SM realize he’s a royalty from other nation but instead SM just calmly told him she know his cover because of a snack.
How I wish I can jump at moment and screaming “PLOT TWIST!” at XJX face, lol.

Hahaha! I haven’t thought about it much, but you’re spot on! Shen Miao doesn’t even use the clue that we readers use, which is his extreme male beauty. She might find his handsomeness distracting, but she’s not going to let that stop her from being sarcastic with him.
Her tongue that’s as sharp as her mind is exactly what he needs. Too many people are in awe of him already or swoon if he even slightly glance in their direction. Shen Miao can be his reality check.
