Chapter 114: No Trivial Hate (Part 2)

Tonight in the residence of the Marquis of Lin An it was indeed not peaceful.

In the most inside courtyard, Xie Jing Xing had just took off his outer robes in the room, when the door was pushed open with a ‘bang’. A servant was fearfully standing at the door, fearing that it would implicated him as he hanged his head low and nervously said, “Young Master… This lowly one cannot stop…”

The Marquis of Lin An stood at the door and was angry when he heard that, “Stop? You tried to stop me, I am your Father! Since when did the master of the residence of Marquis of Lin An changed? Xie Jing Xing, you stand properly!”

Xie Jing Xing casually glanced at Xie Ding and threw his robe lazily on the couch and sat down on the chair. He leaned back and had an appearance of a hedonistic son, “What noble reason brings the Marquis over at such a late hour tonight?”

It was as if treating a stranger.

Naturally, Xie Ding became so angry that he could flip a horse. It was however Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao, who were following behind Xie Ding, who had looks of indignation but had happiness flickering in their eyes. Xie Chang Chao said, “Eldest Brother, Father treat you with all his heart and energy. How could you say such things to Father? It is really not filial or respectful!”

“Mind your own business.” Xie Jing Xing spit out the four words.

On the outside, the elegant and noble Little Marquis would be like an army ruffian when facing the three of them, this made the ‘scholarly General’ Xie Ding feel helpless.

“You brat!” Xie Ding did not pay attention to Xie Chang Chao’s instantaneous green face and said angrily, “What sort of request for commander did you write!” With a slam, he threw the paper onto Xie Jing Xing’s face.

Xie Jing Xing took a look at the paper and raised his eyebrows, “If the Marquis is not happy then let His Majesty write another one then. One come over in the middle of the night just for this?”

“Xie Jing Xing, what exactly do you want to do!” Xie Ding flew into a rage, “Do you know what kind of place Northern Jiang is? Requesting for commander is not a plaything. You have never directed the Xie family army and I have never taught you before. Do you know how to use them!”

When those words were spoken, a flash of darkness appeared in Xie Chang Chao’s and Xie Chang Wu’s eyes. The Xie family army was the most valuable asset in the Marquis of Lin An’s residence, more valuable that the wealth and glory of Marquis of Lin An’s residence. Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao also had martial arts skills, but Xie Ding had no intention of letting both brothers to manage the Xie family army, and kept training Xie Jing Xing as a successor. So even when Xie Ding bring both brothers into officialdom, once Xie Jing Xing use the Xie family army as his own, no matter if Xie Chang Chao and Xie Chang Wu fought for their entire lives, they would not be able to reach the height of Xie Jing Xing.

“So what about that?” Xie Jing Xing’s lips hooked up to a smile and his eyes that swept across had some evil intentions, “As one use it more, it would become easier to use.”

“No!” Xie Ding refused flatly, “Tomorrow you will follow me to court and tell His Majesty clearly. This request for commander cannot be accepted!”

“Marquis.” Xie Jing Xing tilted his head sideways and spoke to him as if he was looking at a joke, “The request for commander was requested by me and now to go back on it to His Majesty… If the Marquis wish to see my head fall, just say it straightforwardly, why learn from others how to go the roundabout way.” When he said that, he looked at Xie Chang Chao and brother in a smile but not a smile.

It was obviously saying that Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao did not have good intentions. Both of their faces stiffened and Xie Chang Chao said, “Eldest Brother, Father is saying this with good intentions. That Northern Jiang’s terrain is complicated, if something goes wrong, not only your own safety will be compromised, even Father will be punished and the entire Xie family army will be shamed. You cannot just think of yourself and not care of the Xie family’s future.”

The implication of the words was that this expedition of Xie Jing Xing was completely due to his ambition, and that he did not know how high Heavens were, and that he was completely shameless to want to build a successful career without knowing his worth.

When those words were said, even Xie Ding could not help but frown.

“Younger Brothers need not be worried.” Xie Jing Xing retorted, “This Older Brother will wait for you to enter officialdom and achieve great accomplishments with unlimited prospects. At that time one will rely on you both to protect the Xie family. The Marquis will also be very happy.”

Now that Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao were just about to enter officialdom, the mention about them achieving great accomplishments with their abilities, it was insinuating about a far off date in the future. Xie Jing Xing was mocking them of their qualifications, and how they only depended on the Xie family relations to climb.

“You!” Xie Chang Chao was fuming and was about to speak when Xie Ding roared, “Enough!”

Xie Chang Chao and Xie Chang Wu immediately kept quiet, and it was Xie Jing Xing who showed some impatience, “Has the Marquis finish speaking? If so, please quickly leave, I want to sleep.”

“Jing Xing.” Xie Ding suddenly said tiredly, “After so many years, you still hate me like this? That you could not wait to use your life to leave the Marquis’ residence.”

Xie Ding was currently not like when he was young, but was still regarded as a handsome middle-age man. Even though he is a General but he was different from Shen Xin’s coarse and forthright manners, and it was as if he had a gentleman’s elegance. When Xie Ding was young, he had a ‘scholarly General’ nickname and was considered handsome. Most of the Xie family had inherited Xie Ding’s appearance, even Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao were considered handsome but when comparing with Xie Jing Xing, there would be a big difference.

Princess Yu Qing was gentle and elegant while Xie Ding was a nobleman like a piece of jade when he was young, but spawned Xie Jing Xing whose temperament was stronger than his appearance. He trifled without respect, arrogant and dissolute, as if no one in the world could control or manage him. He seemed like nothing was interesting to him, and so proud that nothing was worth regarding in his eyes. This kind of looks and temperament if found on history books, could be regarded as a legendary romantic persona.

But it also made others feel helpless, just like Xie Ding felt in that moment.

Xie Ding’s temples were already showing silver, “Jing Xing, you still hate me?” When these words were spoken, Xie Ding’s voice was somewhat quivering. He was endlessly enraged with Xie Jing Xing, but at the moment it was like a father surrendering helplessly to a son.

Hate? Hate what? Hate that at the beginning he let Madam Fang into the doors, and let that scheming woman have an opportunity to take advantage? Hate that he let Princess Yu Qing die due to accumulation of hate, and let Xie Jing Xing’s life be like that of stranger in the household? It was obvious that it was his wrong first, but still acted like one is head-over-heels and no longer remarry. But even though he had that head-over-heels attitude, he was not willing to kill that Madam Fang. Was treating Xie Jing Xing with all kinds of love a futile attempt to atone?

Mistakes had been born and the person was no longer around, so how could a sin be cleared in redemption.

Xie Jing Xing swept a glance at him and his eyes became very sharp. However even if this General who was able to rebuke Heavens and Earth exposed his weakness, he would never be moved.

He had never hated Xie Ding, just disdained. Moreover… Xie Jing Xing said, “The Marquis is thinking too much. How would I have idle time to do so.”

It was Xie Chang Wu and Xie Chang Chao who were more and more happy. The deeper Xie Jing Xing hurt Xie Ding, the more Xie Ding will be disappointed with Xie Jing Xing, and it was only like this that then there would be a possibility for both brothers to replace Xie Jing Xing’s position completely.

“Like that…” Xie Ding said troubled, “Then you set off then.” His voice was very low, “I will explain clearly to the Xie family army. Those people will go through it with you. Take the armour in the residence and the heart protecting shield.” It seemed that Xie Ding had aged ten over years in a single night as he looked at Xie Jing Xing, “You… Take care.”

Xie Chang Chao and Xie Chang Wu supported Xie Ding out, and just before leaving Xie Chang Chao still smiled maliciously at Xie Jing Xing, “This Younger Brother will wish Eldest Brother to defeat the enemy and return triumphant.”

But he looked forward to see how Xie Jing Xing were to die in the battlefield.
After they left and the doors were closed, under the light of the flame, a black clad person had appeared since an unknown time. The black clad person said, “Master, Xie Chang Chao and Xie Chang Wu…”

“Forget it.” Xie Jing Xing said, “If they are dead now, the Marquis of Lin An will not let me leave.”

“The Xie family’s army will only listen to the Marquis of Lin An and naturally will not listen to Master’s command.” The black clad person said, “What does Master plan to do?”

“Just an insignificant Xie family’s army. Who will bother.” Xie Jing Xing was somewhat impatient, “How is the arrangement of the Princess’ residence?”

“Replying Master, the people are placed in the dark to protect Her Highness Princess Rong Xin. Does Master not bid farewell to Princess Rong Xin?”

“No need.” Xie Jing Xing waved his hands, “This will do.”

The black clad person complied and turned around to withdraw.

At the fire of the dark room, those red lips and face flickered and showed a little warm. Without the purple gold robe and with only a jade white middle wear, the youth’s eyelashes seemed very long, as if the flames were creating a handsome painting.

“Hate?” He looked down and lightly smiled.

    • Hm…… XD im not really even in the position to say I ‘hate’ you since we still didn’t have that much of an understanding of your past and actions but you should know that your son is very different from other people. I only hope that you will be able to survive once the war between our Empress, the royal family and XJX occurs

  5. I’m more and more convinced Xie Jing Xing himself is also a reincarnator. He seems to be a step ahead in what happened in Shen Miao’s past lifetime. If Shen Miao is the only reincarnator, it doesn’t make sense that other people are making other moves different from their past lifetime.

    • But here’s a problem, if XJX really is a reincarnation then how come he doesn’t know the motive behind our Empress’ hatred towards the royal family? How come he can’t understand how she suddenly got a person backing her to do those stuff? But there is 50% chance it might happen.

      • I’m not sure. I don’t remember. The last time I went to the spoiler’s thread there’s people who are also thinking that he might be a reincarnator like our Empress but I didn’t read further than that.

      • In the past life, Xie Jing Xing died young. If I remember correctly, he was around 23. (Unless he faked his death and lived longer than that).

        When Empress Shen returned to her country to be betrayed, her teenage children were already murdered. She would have been around 30-40. Turning 30 at the earliest.

        So there’s around a decade or more of life that Shen Miao lived through that XJX didn’t if he did reincarnate as his younger self.

      • Ah that would’ve made sense but if I recall correctly, since our empress knew his time and cause of death, wouldn’t that mean that XJX knew in the past that she was an empress of the past before he died in the battlefield? Because he once mentioned something about how SM carried herself with an Empress aura so if he really did reincarnate then he should know this stuff a bit. Right?

    • @Yuki suggests a valid point. He would have easily guessed about Shen Miao’s reincarnation if that were the case.
      Moreover, Zazajunnie has clarified before that he didn’t reincarnate. I guess he is on his own secret mission that will be revealed eventually. From what i can deduce, he has his own arc, and whatever we know about him, in the previous lifetime, is from Shen Miao’s perspective and that too is very limited knowledge since they didn’t have much contact in that lifetime. So his death might not have been that simple then.

    • He is making his moves earlier because Shen Miao encouraged him to.

      I believe it was in that school competition/event arch.
      I remember a talk then, when he “gave” her the hairpin, of how one should act earlier, and her bringing his attention to his half-brothers ploys… what eventually lead to their face-off in the same event.

      Shen Miao is the reincarnator. It was her different demeanor and actions that is sending everything spiralling down much faster.
      just like the butterfly effect theory.

      Her different actions were already changing things as early as then (remember she also warned the Su family through Su min lang?), it is just that now the results are already the size of a snowball (and rolling) that makes it so easy to perceive.
      But the first snow had already started long ago…

      And now I just want to sit back and watch it become an avalanche

    • I don’t think so. Remember the part where he collect his best friend and the father corpse? He should hv known about the horse plaque that leads to his friends family death. Anyway Shen Miao was already DFY’s woman before his death so he should hv wondered why the changed of history.

      The current task probably something he already plan but everything fell through and he ended dead. Only this time, the little empress had changed his fate by making him aware of the danger within his family and getting that special item from under that despicable prince uncle’s house.

      Minor changes in her actions may cause major changes in the world. Especially if she mingles with influential people affairs.

    • I believe that Shen Miao is the only reincarnation (that we know of so far). It may not seem like it, but we have to understand that her choices have changed the dynamic of what occurred during her past lifetime. All the things that are happening in the present, and did not occur during the past, is a direct result of Shen Miao’s recent involvement–as someone said before me, it’s the butterfly effect: “small causes can have larger effects.” She wasn’t involved with any of the conflict during this period in her past life. She was a completely different person, so she was unaware of what was going on under the surface. That’s why things have changed: plans are being initiated much quicker–and in different ways–as a direct result of her heightened awareness and actions in the present. XJX may seem like a reincarnation, but he is not. Also, we never knew XJX in the past lifetime (from Shen Miao’s POV she had little to no interaction with him), so we cannot assume that all of these plans that he has in place were not implemented during his previous lifetime. I also believe that XJX would never allow himself to be killed off so easily. I mean c’mon, it’s XJX we’re talking about for goodness sake! He is Shen Miao’s equal, so I cannot imagine him allowing that vicious Royal family–and his “brothers”–gain the upper-hand over him. Finally, we should note XJX’s lack of emotional response towards his father–is there more to it other than his mother’s death?

  9. Is a bit of a stretch to assume Xie Jing Xing as an adopted son of Xie family…? He seems too estranged even though Xie Ding is supposedly his real father. And there’s ‘Master’ appellation from the black clad person too emm..

    • Gosh,the moment I read the word eyelash or peach eyes or eyebrows, I immediately jump 2-3 lines ahead to avoid reading these ridiculously unrealistic descriptions of his appearance.

      • Compared to the super realistic way to execute the plot, the author does the complete opposite with description of appearances which catches the eye well due to the contradiction XD

      • Someone commented accurately before that maybe the author gives such elaborate descriptions becasue SM is not in love with him yet, and doesn’t pay much attention to him, thus the author wants the readers to take notice and admire him a bit. But, ironically, it is having the opposit effect on all of us 😛 😛

In XJX’s the marquis is not worthed as to hate his past deeds in causing xjx’s mom death… what a direct stab in the heart for the marquis when the son he’s loved and proud of has no considetation for him whatsoever. I do understand XJX’s point of view of this and just say the marquis gets what he sows.

  22. Things have been complicated here so I haven’t been posting but…
    I’m still reading whenever I can, so take this as a very big “thank yoooou!!” for all the chapters before.

    And just to comment really fast..
    These past chapters XJX’s actions have been such a mystery, I just want to shake the author and say “just please hurry on already and make all of this understandable!!”.

    Am I the only one that has absolutely no idea what he is doing and what are his goals (beside the throne or revenge against the imperial family or something like that?)
    I’ve been wondering all this time wether the author HAS been giving enough pieces/bead crumbs for us to follow the trail and I’m just dense and hasn’t seen them, or if she’s just throwing enough information for us to see that omg!! there’s something happening!1!1 but not important enough pieces of the puzzle that let us see the figure and what it’s about…

    I’m inclined to think it’s the second..
    Has ANYONE pieced anything together?

    I’m not saying she’s not giving us any pieces at all, just not ones we can make much out of them (now). And then, later she’ll tell what has been going on and we’ll be “aaaaaaaah *lightbulb shining*” and will look to past chapters and see everything was already laid out.
    But that for now it’s not much to make a conclusion out of anything.

    (well, that’s just the feeling that I have. But maybe I’m just dumb.)

    and another feeling I have..
    Will there be a time skip?

    In which the Shengs ™ fall back a bit (maybe to the northern region?), and XJX goes to his war, while things advance/solve themselves?

    Or will we have SM plotline advance even without our little Marquis?

    • It’s the second scenario. Since i have spoiled myself with certain spoilers (i had to know if XJX had reincarnated or not) i will tell you all of his secret missions will make sense eventually. There will be a grand revelation in the future.

        You have no idea how frustrated I have been these chapters, trying to piece everything together and fretting, and feeling like a failure. T_T

        It is good to know this is as intended, and that I’m not as dumb as I have been feeling.

        The author is a good one, so if it was the 2nd case, it’d make sense, and when you’d look back you’d see everything WAS there.
        But I needed to know it was not something I could puzzle together now, so I could stop myself from fretting and banging my head against a wall.

        Now I can just let it go, trust the author and enjoy the story.
        Instead of trying to make sense of something that is not supposed to make sense at this moment XDD

  25. I think what XJX want is more than destroying Ming Qi monarch… What XJX want is the same as what SM want.. I think he want power, more than other people, but SM focus on the Ming Qi country and XJX focus is whole country…. just like SM said before ” people will have better position when they have power ” she didn’t like retreat strategy because that is just temporary refuge..if you really want to safe ,you have to has more power than other people… Both of them want the same thing.. The difference between them is XJX have already different identity (l think the identity from his mother) and he already has secret army..while SM depends on future memories and act alone… And what XJX searching maybe something like seal for secret army for every country or something that represent the power more than the monarch of the current country have.. Maybe past power that already been separated and scattered around all countries.. And l think one of them in the country where “SM in the future “become hostage… That is my insight for the mysterious stalker Xie and his current action is different because SM influence.. That is butterfly effect… So XJX was not reincarnated..his death before is because outside and inside conspiracy l think…

    • Hmmm. I see.
      But why the time frame?

      I mean, he’s working against the time, it was said he was doing all this so he could have enough time so that everything was in place, and YET
      If he was going by the time of the previous lifetime he’d been acting too late, and would fail because of it.

      What you’ve had said is not something I had considered at all, (and don’t know how much this secret army of all countries is feasible – I mean, if it existed, why were all the countries separated? they should have been one big nation till not too long ago, no?)

      But now that you’ve said it, this sounds like DCF, where the emperor there was afraid Long Heng (ML) would take the enemy nation, and instead of anexing it, would instead become its emperor and turn against him.
      From what it was said, it seemed like this was a common move?

      So maybe that’s what XJX is doing?
      Going not only to another country, but one that’s extremely difficult to invade and with difficult terrain. So once, he gets it, he can just sit there and see the whole (Ming Qi? their country name? sorry, so many novels x_X) country burn, and see the imperial family get rid of it’s important families (maybe even his), whilst he just eats popcorn (maybe even marshmallows, since there’ll just conviniently be a fire there), and bids his time to come back and sweep them all?

      That’s maybe why the timing was so important?
      Too early, he wouldn’t had amassed his army.
      Too late, the country would be too strong, or maybe his brothers too high up so they could do something against him or infiltrated ppl in his army?
      (Or the imperial family would already have began its purge. And maybe prummed his allies/forces).

      Maybe that was also what he was snooping in the Shens for? For tactical books/maps that detailed that northen country region’s difficult terrain or something?

      Now that coffin/mummy thing… I really, really have no idea. I have no idea about an army seal, but maybe it could be something to do with lineages?
      something that proves/invalidate the imperial family’s power, and that’s why they wanted to keep it under wraps? dunno. It just seemed really important.

      And somehow, I don’t think this is only for power.
      I’d guess there’s a vendetta with the imperial family’s name on his agenda.

      I mean, really?
      I concubine from gods knows where DARES to scheme and even kill an imperial princess and is still alive to tell the story?
      How did she manage this if this wasn’t in the imperial family’s interest?
      Why hasn’t she had a very pitiful end yet?

      And the other princess that was on her side (the aunt) is just all isolated and having nothing to do with politics while keeping a low profile?

      What sorcery is this?

      I’m just guessing that this is much, much more personal than simply a bid for power, and that SM is not the only one with matters to settle against the imperial family.

    • What do you expect ? He and his mother did nothing wrong yet they were subjected to pain . His father and that madam are clearly in the wrong yet his father doesnt see that ?
      Unless he never actually loved her truly and doesnt think there is anything wrong even whe she died by the ceause of his and his concubine ?

      • What’s the real cause of XJX’s mom? The way I see it now, his father trying to make amends from his fault. It can’t erase his past mistakes, but at least he’s trying. He’s doting XJX to the extreme and he’s ignore other two brothers.

        what I feel, and has somewhat have been implied from XJX perspective, is that they are “fake” amends. He’s father is not actually making amends, he doesn’t take the true way to make amends, instead, he just wings it so he can say he is “trying”.

        XJX mother was killed because of a concubine.
        As the first son, he’s in danger because of her (esp as a child) and has no mother to defend him.

        If he father was to give “true justice” he’d get rid (kill or just get out of his residence) that damn concubine, not only to revenge XJX’s mother, but so she had no chance of harming him.

        But no, he’d rather keep her around so he could make babies with her.

        how is that making amends?

        It has implied more than once, that this is what XJX would have wanted/considered justice, but his father isn’t willing to get rid of his “true beloved” and would rather slight XJX’s mother’s memories, and keep her son in danger.

        So, he “favouring” and “spoiling” his son, are no making amends. It’s just him being lazy, and acting on a guilty conscience instead of taking a true stance at all.

        giving love, and properly raising his son (or maybe, sonS. if he got rid of his concubine first and raised all of them together himself) would have been the way to go.
        I don’t think he’s done that, else, he and XJX would have been closer.
        No, he just “spoils” him, that’s more like putting a show, or doing just whatever, instead of properly giving love and care.

        all the while, the concubine and half-brothers are in the background, plotting and scheming against him.

        We don’t know how was his childhood, but really?
        I’m much more inclined to believe that his step mom and brothers have tried to harm him time after time, and he had to rely on that imperial aunt’s help (and that’s why they are close, she having been the one that truly raised him), and in the end, having to become strong himself and developing his shadow corps, all to ensure he had his own power and stay alive.
        If could have depended on his father’s powers and servants to do it, then why he doesn’t? Why go to the extra lenght to have his own power, and ppl HE could trust?
        (because he couldn’t, and if he had, he’d probably wouldn’t be alive)

        So no, no pity for the father.
        He’s probably just reaping what he sowed.
        If he had been the one who raised XJX and protected him, I believe they’d be closer.
        But no, apparently, imperial aunt was the one who did, and he really hasn’t done much but a nominal try while leaving him to the (“family” cough cough) wolfs.
        So who is him to try and ask for affection when he’s done nothing to earn it?
        If this is just like all of this seems, then he’s been just asking for it, and is lucky XJX doesn’t actually hate him, but just sees him as fool and (pardon the language, but that’s the meme/expression) 0 fucks were given.

  32. … I get the feeling our ML is perhaps reincarnator too in some way. I mean, he doesn’t seem to know what should happen in the future or our empress would have been exposed already but a death by thousands of arrows just seems to fishy for XJX as he is now. Did he perhaps fake his death?

  38. His father is also stupid. He knew that his mother wouldt want to share her husband yet he still accepted her and even had chilfren with her. Does he really noy know why his wife died ? She clearly poisond her and took advantage of everything and getting a repuration of a gentle and kind woman while leavind the Princess with a black reputation. Does he really not know ? Or does he love her and thats why he doesnt put her to death ?

The world is so big, but he is so above everyone that he finds nothing interesting? Why do c-novels take this route to make their heroes “unique and proud”? Why can’t they be people who have more believable traits (and don’t seem so damn unrelatable)?

  48. I think xjx’s plan is to become the villain in the eyes of the imperial family thru this war, thus he said “everyone under heaven will hate me.”. Maybe his ploy is to ‘sacrifice’ himself and become a villain and create a very big problem that would force the imperial family to step out from their disguise as benevolent protector of the country and be seen as to what they really are, a bunch of indolent and shallow people. It would create a great uproar especially if :

    (plan a) xjx would ‘die’ in battle and somehow implicate his to half-brothers to his death and why their family army failed this stunting his half brother way to officialdom and giving xjx to plan and play in the shadows to complete his mission

    (plan b) win the war, return to the capital, receive reward from the emperor and use that as an advantage to target his enemy or most likely the imperial

    (plan c) stage a coup, joining or making an alliance with the enemy to join the struggle for the dragon throne thus fulfilling the foreshadowing with the “hate” business. (note that he send people to protect his aunt from maybe from the imperial family–in an event of his plan really work)

    Plan a and c is a possible reasons , especially c because I think it would be really a sure way to challenge the imperial family

    Why c is more probable answer :
    1. He has a claim to the dragon throne thru his mother.
    2. Support of his aunt
    3. Support from his family’s army
    4. If that didn’t work since his father is still alive and was indicated that they (army) will follow the father before following the son, then xjx secretly assembled army
    5. The information he gathered thru the pawnshop (but I think it is not complete since they are still looking for something that they didn’t find at the dead prince residence)
    6. The joining of xjx army and shen army thru our empress shen? (though it would be possible but for now it just have to wait since SM and xjx ship is still to sail)
    Overall, the ultimate end game is the dragon throne and the elimination of the current emperial family, thus the enemy (SM) of my enemy (imperial family) is my friend so I’m still hoping for that darn ship to sail! Sail and our at a ready just waiting for the captain’s order hahhaah

  49. Xjx is planning a coup against the imperial family. He is going to make himself the villain and force the imperial to show their true colors. He is already sending people to protect his aunt from the backlash of whatever he is planning. SM and xjx is after the same endgame…the dragon throne. With his secret army and pawnshop he is going to strip the entire family with all of their power. He has a valid claim to the throne they his mother. The question would be who is going to attack the sun and who is going to attack the imperial family from the shadow since up until both hubby and wife are playing from the shadows heheh
