  5. Oh my goodness, I’m not liking this!!! This is pure torture. I totally understand where SM coming from.

    If she wasn’t in love with XJX, she would have gotten rid of this pair of siblings even if it meant dragging everybody down with her. Unfortunately, that’s not possible. She likes and wants to protect XJX , avenge her kids and still win over that thing in this life, all the while still keeping her rebirth a secret. It’s a whole lot she trying to do.

    I sincerely think, she needs to open up about a rebirth to XJX, because I really fear things might fall apart real bad……

That was one hell of an entrance and one big slap to her arch enemy. Though it Looks like as if the battle is still ongoing.. Still I hope this snake will get skinned soon. Perhaps she will be send to Ming Qui and once Great Liang will conquer Ming Qui she can be officially executed

She is a total fool if she can’t even guess the power balance with the imperial family, her older sister is an imperial consort, there is no way the imperial family would want yet another relation with them, or else they would become too powerful. Well, as expected brainless beauties with high ego wouldn’t understand.

    As for Ye Mei, well she is an official bitch. I still don’t understand how she managed to land her spot as the “Ye family’s daughter”, I’m curious what kind of strings she pulled, or was the Ye family that desperate for children? No way, no matter how greedy or powerhungry they are, considering the era they are in people valued blood ties above all else, they definitely wouldn’t enter some adopted children’s name in their family registry as it is considered very formal. Which means she somehow DID fool the Ye master and mistress into thinking she is their daughter. I honestly don’t believe she is their daughter to be honest. I mean how would their birthmother not know she gave birth to a pair of siblings instead of a daughter? If it was just Ye Mei herself and not her brother, it would’ve been believable but “exchanging two children with a single child” is hardly believable. So, looking forward to her behind the scene schemes.

  25. For everyone who’s worrying, there’s no need to be. I know it looks bad now but believe in our OTP, the only person on XJX’S mind throughout his birthday banquet is our empress. The other flies don’t even enter his line of sight, they all underestimate just how much in love XJX is with SM. All everyone needs to know is that this cold war is a good thing for their relationship because after this, their love and bond grows stronger day by day as SM opens up completely to XJX and he naturally dotes on and indulges her even more. (Also just a little spoiler, after the cold war they finally snu snu 😏😘……XJX finally gets to cook the raw rice at last)
