Naturally Shen Miao pushed all the credits to Xie Jing Xing without any hesitation which then provoked Shen Xin to be more wary of Xie Jing Xing. With such trickery and schemes, one could not be underestimated and have to be on guard against, else he would be counting money for him after being sold off.

Speaking of Xie Jing Xing, Shen Miao did asked him if he had said anything to Shen Xin. Xie Jing Xing did not admit nor did he deny it. Seeing his attitude, Shen Miao understood in her heart. When talking about what would happen to the Shen family in the future, Xie Jing Xing said that he still had plans in Ming Qi’s Ding capital and nothing would happen to the Shen family. With this words of his, Shen Miao was assured.

In a turn of an eye, time had flew to the night before the marriage.

On the next day, Shen Miao will be married off from the Shen family and the sedan carriage would go round the entire city and the ceremony would be completed festively before leaving Ding capital gates, leaving Ming Qi in grandiose as it heads towards Great Liang.

The things that should be brought were brought, the people that should be following were also followed. Shen Miao did not forget about Pei Lang at all. Tomorrow Shen Miao would be marrying off and tomorrow Xie Jing Xing will be leaving Ming Qi’s Ding capital. The next time Xie Jing Xing step onto Ming Qi after this return to Great Liang, it could be the time where both armies would meet or that he come to flatten the Ding capital of Great Liang.

Princess Rong Xin was the YiMu of the past Xie Jing Xing but also the Princess of Ming Qi. In front of the country and family, one had to always make the choice. What was more that there were elements of deception in this family relations.

  21. Stupidest Princess ever. She thinks she’s loyal to Ming Qi, but she’s just cannon fodder to the Fu family. She has no power, no rights, and no influence, yet she’s pretending to do the right thing by doing what? Who benefits from her ratting out XJX? She’s not at all loyal to XJX despite all her posing.

    XJX made a mistake revealing his identity to her. Better to let her think that he died than pick up a pig-headed teammate. Or he should have silenced her permanently. Unless… this was all part of his plan. It’s obvious that Princess Rong Xin would stab him in the back, and that Fu Xiu Yi would definitely be watching her.

    Speaking of Fu Xiu Yi. He needs to get a real job. He spends too much time scheming other people’s marriages and torturing people for fun.     Well I can understand the Princess’s thoughts… as much hate and untrust she has for the royal family, she can’t turn her head from her own country. She will have doubts of other country. Let’s face it… most ancient people that lost their country will become slaves and killed by the invaders as they are not accepted.

  33. I can understand that people is disappointed with the princess but to call her stupid and heartless is really out of questions.
    Stupid it’s definitely not the case because XJX now turn out to be an enemy prince who she knows sooner or later would attack MQ. He will flattened her kingdom and probably kill her brothers and make her family members widows and orphans. And with a very high probability would be either executed or exiled and sold as slaves.
    Heartless? Towards whom?
    I’m sure she knows that XJX does anyhow more or less care about her, he still sent her medicines, right? So yes, she might survive and wouldn’t be harmed.

    • Btw… the fact that she has no power nor influence in the dynasty has nothing to do at all with the issue. She is a woman, and not an empress, so what kind of power she could covet anyway, no matter who reign the nation?
      She can live luxuriously all this time, like it or not, still needs to thank to her brother emperor. Can she have it if Fu family no longer rule the nation? No way.
      Let’s just be a little bit realistic.
      If she doesn’t love XJX for real, she wouldn’t have any scruples to report him to the emperor long time ago. If she did, the emperor was at least still able to try sending some assasin…but doing it now is basically rather too late since he has no gut to fight Prince Rui in open light.

    • I agree, I think people are too hard on the princess. I’m not sure if she’ll actually go through with the letter or not, but she’s in a situation where there are no good outcomes for her. Honestly, I’m probably one of the few people who feels really sorry for both her and XJX. Neither of them created this situation, it was forced on them by whoever swapped the babies long ago.

One is your adopted child who can save your life but need your biological family to perish, the other choice is your own family who supported your life all this long and gave you food. You can also tell from the past conversation with SM when she spoke of how she thought XJX would hold onto her and how XJX always knows what he wants and does not want. In the end, only SM knew his identity and still kept in contact with him. In the princess’s eyes, XJX wants SM and he knew he would cut contact with the princess.
