Well I’m not surprised By XJX’s murderous intent or doubts towards Shen Miao at the moment…since he is a cautious character by nature and well imagine if it was around year 2000 and you just heard someone mentioning that there’ll be a terrorist attack on the WTO on9/11….🌚so many questions must be swirling on his highness’ meticulous mind 😂😂😂😂😂 besides I wonder if XJX and GY are wondering how in the world did Shen Miao knew that FXY will approach Pei Lang? Maaaaan, if that time comes and they suddenly remember their eves dropping fufufu~ Will they get freak out? 😂😂😂 nonetheless I’m so curious on what XJX is gonna do now?

    there’s way too many male leads that go against female leads (at the start/middle of novels, to instigate unnecessary drama and stuff idk) and i sure hope XJX isn’t one of them

  22. Truly a brilliant play! Telling a nice little “story” first to lighten the atmosphere and then “kindly” offering him a deal. I feel like Pei Lang isn’t truly an evil person, rather he’s too indifferent. Then again, so is Shen Miao. Sadly, the heavens pity this daughter of heaven and have given her a chance to take everything back. Our great Empress wouldn’t be herself if she let such a great chance go by.

    I also have a bad feeling that Xi Jing Xing is going to start investigating deeply into why Shen Miao has all this info, maybe even do some special “interview” methods. They won’t be able to find anything, but he might try pull some tricks and tests. Oh great male god, stop harassing your future wife!

  31. I’ve always been thinking that JYS and the other is like a commentators in a live sport events which is why I always like reading the scene when they are eavesdropping, but the atmosphere in this chapter is a bit… too silent, and cold… I makes me want to read the next chapter ASAP…

    Maybe I should MTL the next chapter, or maybe not?

  40. This is by far my most favourite scheme of her. To subdue Pei lang her own teacher, associate from past life yet most of all man who stood above thoudands as Nations advisor to be subdued with such simple tatic by her. Empress for sure.💕
    But I only dont get the part when they are saying there are loopholes in the way she dealt with him and that he will realise them later when he has experience as an official? Can some one break it down for me please thanks 😀

  41. I’ve been wanting to read this story since over a year ago. (waiting for more chapters to be translated) I read 100+ chapters in 2 days… ~half way through the novel, I do like the story and how SM is playing her chess game. However, I wished that her’s and XJX relationship would have started to bloom already… I was hoping for another power lovey couple (such as TBAVW, Empress with No Virtue, CWF, ETT, DWGFF, not in any particular order) Any one know when spring when come to our beloved characters?
