Chapter 89: No Route (Part 3)

Delusional people really are still narrow minded when there’s too much scheming and prospects in front of them then suddenly forget that the world they live in is where the strong and smart people rule the weak. Now that you dont have anymore road to take you have to pave a road for yourself and see if you can escape our Empress’ clutches kekekke

At least Shen Yuan is smart enough to brag and I don’t find him delusional as Shen Miao is a reincarnated empress and there is no normal people who can be compared to those trio of ‘brothers’ (Jin Xing, Gao Yang and Ji Yu Shu, why they call Jing Xing brother anyways?) Setting them aside, Shen Yuan looks smarter than most, at least much smarter than that Shrew of a mother mentioned earlier in the story.

    At least, the villains here aren’t the typical all mouth and no brain, bullshit spewer, extremely shameless and lack of basic human intelligence type of people which is a very common trope in these novels. Chen Rou Qiu is scheming but calm and composed, forget Ren Wan Yun, she has gone crazy and given the old hag’s background, it’s natural for her to be that way.

  22. What Im curious about is.. remember the girl that she want the pawnshop to find? Will she used it against third shen household? ☺
    I mean, Shen Wan only have 1 wife and no concubine. He also do not have a son. I love to see/read, what will 3rd Chen wife will do, if there will be a new vixen in their 3rd household… hehehe…

    Our Shen Miao is cleaning her yard first… slowly but surely 😊

  25. Thanks for the chapter. The tone of this chapter is getting darker and darker, with the mention of the almost forgotten younger brother, what is Shen Yuan planning? Is he trying to quell the rumors to save his career with a bigger rumor/disaster, like I don’t know, the untimely death of someone so young? T^T I don’t like where my mind is going… when will there be mofumofu moments?

  44. Ren Wan Yun have ruin everything around her
    she pushed her daughter step by step to her ruin, she then lost her control over her stupid husband which she needed if she want to keep her power in the second household and lastly she now is pushing the last support she will ever get she is really stupid🙃
