Chapter 55: Nauseating

  9. Hahaha Yes, it’s time for some “cleaning”. I’m curious to see how she handles this, but I’m sure she’ll make it impossible for the Royal Family to back Prince Yu up and there would be no marrying him.

    • I feel like Shen Miao’s parents are either utter fools or they just don’t care about her at all… I get that they absolutely trust their sisters in law but at this level, it’s just pure stupidity. They never once in 14 years asked questions about why their daughter was such a joke? They put competent maids around her, why not ask them? And Shen Miao never once told them it was her aunts that advised her to dress like that? And even then, it is the aunt’s job to stop her from going out dressed like that (just like she tried to when she was dressed correctly). And they did not find it weird when they tried to marry her to Prince Yu… They deserved what happenned to them.

  31. This is one of those rare times when a main character’s own wet nurse acts against them. Mama Gui is disgusting, more so than any other rank of servants, since she’s the one who actually fed and cared for Shen Miao from infancy yet has little compunction selling her out.
